Five of Barclays Premier League stars

Five of Barclays Premier League stars to have made the midfielder shortlist for the FIFA and FIFPro World XI.

The Liverpool and England midifleder has been named alongside the Manchester City pair of  David Silva and Yaya Toure and the Chelsea duo of Frank Lampard and Eden Hazard.
The 50,000 professional footballers belonging to the players' unions across the world that make up FIFPro are eligible to cast their vote.

The footballers have voted for the best goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three forwards of 2012 with the World XI being revealed at the FIFA Ballon d'Or gala in Zurich on 7 January.
The shortlists for goalkeepers and defenders have already been published with the forwards list announced on 29 November.
